Sidmouth is a small town in Devon situated along the beautiful Jurassic World Heritage Coast. The town has over 500 buildings from varying periods which are designated as "listed" buildings, including thatched cottages, lovely Regency period buildings, among other styles and beautiful gardens. This superb ambience became the backdrop for a stylish resort during the 1800's; and the town still attracts numerous tourists to its shores today. The local museum has an eclectic collection that relates the view of the history and the geology of Sidmouth. Also, during the summer an annual folk festival brings people from around the world.
